Fallow (W&G 8) – Cover Reveal!

When Griffin’s past collides with his present, will it cost the lives of everyone he loves?

Between the threat of a world-ending invasion from the Outside and unwelcome revelations about his own nature, Percival Endicott Whyborne is under a great deal of strain. His husband, Griffin Flaherty, wants to help—but how can he, when Whyborne won’t tell him what’s wrong?

When a man from Griffin’s past murders a sorcerer, the situation grows even more dire. Once a simple farmer from Griffin’s hometown of Fallow, the assassin now bears a terrifying magical corruption, one whose nature even Whyborne can’t explain.

To keep Griffin’s estranged mother safe, they must travel to a dying town in Kansas. But as drought withers the crops of Fallow, a sinister cult sinks its roots deep into the arid soil. And if the cult’s foul harvest isn’t stopped in time, Fallow will be only the first city to fall.

I think I sprained my index finger clicking “pre-order” so fast and furious! 🙂 Love the cover, and I think I might indulge myself and re-read the entire series before enjoying the newest chapter… It’s like visiting old, dear friends.

Beautiful! But now now I’m gonna want all the new covers too….sigh . Couldn’t pre-order fast enough!

It’s a nice cover, but I’ll always think of Whyborne and Griffin as previously presented, especially with a huge poster of them on my wall! I’m sure the book will be wonderful. I’m looking forward to it!

I agree with Lena, as nice as this cover is, I don’t think I can think of Whyborne and Griffin as other than on previous covers. While the cover looks great, it just doesn’t feel like Whyborne & Griffin (but that won’t stop me getting book 8 when it comes out)

Lovely new covers, but I must shed a tear for the loss of Charles Mcgregor. He’ll always be Whybourne to me. I can’t wait for the new book.

Oh, it’s so exciting and it’ll be here soon! What a lovely cover, but I’m kind of wondering…is it only going to be e-book edition? I love print. I know it’s a hassle and probably fewer copies sold compared to e-books, but will there be a print edition available, too? Thank you.

There will be a print edition as well. I just don’t have any way of doing preorders for it. 🙂

I’ve been looking at the new cover for a while now and I have to ask, is there a specific reason why you’re changing all of the covers?? Are the models no longer available, too expensive, etc.?? I’m asking because the old design was distinctive and the books were immediately recognisable as part of the series. They stood out. The new ones that I’ve seen so far seem much more generic. I love Lou Harper’s covers that she’s done for JL Merrow, KJ Charles, Harper Fox and others, so it’s not a quality issue. Objectively the cover looks amazing but it could be used for a great variety of books whereas the old style seemed tailor-made for that one, particular series. I don’t want to overstep any boundaries and as I said, I will definitely buy the book, but I was just curious what made you want to change a style that has been very successful until now (at least as far as I can tell).
