Friday Link Roundup

Scrivener is the best software investment I’ve ever made. The flexible way it lets me organize the bits and pieces of a project is a lifesaver: having my research, my detailed outline, and and all my character sketches and fact sheets in one place alone has saved me hours of time. (How I wish it had been around back when I was writing my thesis!) This program does so much I’ve barely scratched the surface even though I’ve been using it since 2008. Once I read Scrivener for Dummies, I’ll probably be even more in love with it. If you’re a writer and aren’t using it, do yourself a favor and download the demo.

Spitalfields Life brings us a delightful post on vintage dog photographs (scroll down to see the photos).

And finally, check out this collection of postcards from 1900 imagining what the year 2000 would be like.

It’s like they were looking into a crystal ball!
